The technology showcase reflects the wide-ranging applications for hydrogen, from active travel to cars to heating homes and business. Applications extend beyond this to industry, heavy transport, shipping and agriculture. Hydrogen can help combat climate change and reach deep decarbonisation across society and the economy. As a zero emission technology, hydrogen can also help clean the air in towns and cities across Wales, where toxic air quality poses significant health risks.

The technology showcase will demonstrate that hydrogen is a here and now technology which can complement other zero emission technologies and be rapidly scaled-up through the 2020s.

The hydrogen bike will be in front of the Senedd in Cardiff Bay from 12.30pm for public viewing and riding.

The technologies on show on the day are:

  • Hydrogen bike (Pragma/Nanosun);
